The company dates back to the early nineteenth century Europe, when Emperor Franz Josef commissioned the Herzog family to produce wines at the Royal Court of Austro-Hungary. US production began in 1958 with Grape Juice, their biggest seller in the kosher food industry. This provided a bridge to entering the kosher food marketplace, where Kedem brought expertise and enthusiasm to ambitious goals.

Kedem retains its mission to accessing shoppers, wherever they may reside, to a wide and varied assortment of kosher food products.
